myIRB Training

HRPO provides the training sessions listed below.  Regularly scheduled sessions are hosted in a room inside the HRPO Office.  Click here for directions.  Typical class size is for up to 6 individuals.  Each session is available on a monthly basis.  Private sessions (for individuals or groups) may be arranged upon request.

  • Basic Navigation and New Projects.  This 2.5-hour session includes an introduction to the basic functionality of the system, hands-on experience using the New Project form (new Full Board, Expedited and Exempt research), and responding to items identified during IRB review.  All users are urged to attend this session prior to working in the system or attending other training sessions.
  • Continuing Review/REF/Closure Forms.  This 1-hour session provides an overview of the Continuing Review form, the Reportable Event Form, and Closure form used to close studies that exist in myIRB. Registrants are expected to be familiar with basic navigation and functionality, which will NOT be provided during this session.
  • Modification Forms.  This 1-hour session provides an overview of the modification form and emphasizes the differences between the way changes were done in the paper process and the way they should be done in myIRB. Registrants are expected to be familiar with basic navigation and functionality, which will NOT be provided during this session.

*Please note that dates and times are subject to change. Registrants will be notified in advance about schedule changes.

Registrants are welcome to bring their lunch along if attending a session scheduled around the lunch hour.
