In light of the precautions rolling out across campus due to COVID-19, sessions will be held virtually via Zoom. Registration will close 3 work days prior to the training date. After registration has closed, an email with a copy of the session handouts and directions for participating via Zoom will be sent to each registrant.
HRPO provides technical training on how to use the myIRB system. Available sessions are listed below. Typical class size is for up to 16 individuals. Each session is available on a monthly basis. Private sessions (for individuals or groups) may be arranged upon request.
Information on the IRB review process and protocol preparation is not included, but is available through HRPO SWAT! Office Hours. For information specific to myIRB in relation to Single IRB (sIRB) Review, please call HRPO and request to speak with the Senior Project Specialist – CIRB.
Location: via Zoom
- Basic Navigation and New Projects. This 2.5-hour session includes an introduction to the basic functionality of the system, use of the New Project form, and responding to items identified during IRB review. All users are urged to attend this session prior to working in the system or attending other training sessions.
- Modification/Continuing Review/REF/Closure Forms. This 1.5-hour session provides an overview of the Modification form and the way changes should be done in myIRB, the Continuing Review form, the Reportable Event Form, and the Closure form used to close studies that exist in myIRB. Registrants are expected to be familiar with basic navigation and functionality, which will NOT be provided during this session.
