HRPO provides the training sessions listed below. Typical class size is for up to 16 individuals. Each session is available on a monthly basis. Private sessions (for individuals or groups) may be arranged upon request.
Location: Regularly scheduled sessions are hosted in the Mid Campus Center, Room 2042. Click here for directions.
- Basic Navigation and New Projects. This 2.5-hour session includes an introduction to the basic functionality of the system, hands-on experience using the New Project form (new Full Board, Expedited and Exempt research), and responding to items identified during IRB review. All users are urged to attend this session prior to working in the system or attending other training sessions.
- Continuing Review/REF/Closure Forms. This 1-hour session provides an overview of the Continuing Review form, the Reportable Event Form, and Closure form used to close studies that exist in myIRB. Registrants are expected to be familiar with basic navigation and functionality, which will NOT be provided during this session.
- Modification Forms. This 1-hour session provides an overview of the modification form and the way changes should be done in myIRB. Registrants are expected to be familiar with basic navigation and functionality, which will NOT be provided during this session.
Due to the anticipated release of the updated myIRB application (scheduled to occur this summer) there will be no myIRB Training Sessions in June or July. Demonstrations of the application updates will be announced (through Research News and HRPO’s home page) closer to the release date. Routine myIRB Training sessions are expected to resume in August.
